The website is operated by Harmonicas Direct. As user of this website you acknowledge that any use of this website including any transaction you make is subject to our terms and conditions below.
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect when posted on the website and it is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions on each occasion you use the website.
1. Order Processing
We accept orders via this website. The order will usually be dispatched within 2 working days of receipt unless we have informed you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it. If an item is not available the web site should alert you when it is added to the shopping basket. Every effort is made to ensure stock level information is up to date, however, if the item you have ordered is out of stock, we will notify you within two working days.
Please make sure that ALL your delivery details are 100% correct as we cannot be held responsible for items which go missing in transit due to an error with your address. Royal Mail will not compensate for lost mail, due to an incorrect address.
We stock an extensive range of harmonicas, however on certain items we don’t stock every key.
We order them especially from supplier once the customer has placed their order. These items are marked
as ‘Available on Back Order’ when you add the item to the basket.
Please note: Harmonicas Direct hold the right to cancel your order at any time for reasons which may or may not be disclosed.
2. Delivery Charges
We are based in the UK, all prices are in UK pounds.
Customers from outside the UK will have to pay Tax (VAT), duty and an admin fee when the package arrives in their respective countries. The amounts vary between countries.
The delivery charges are calculated by weight, and send by first class Royal Mail postage. The Post Office in our village (Burton In Lonsdale) is only open in the mornings. If you are placing an order in the afternoon that requires special delivery please telephone us.
Orders costing £80.00 and above will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Delivery times will be subject to Royal Mail and Harmonicas Direct cannot be held liable for any delay due to Royal Mail. Orders outside the UK, of £30.00 and above amounts will be sent by insured and signed for Royal Mail, small packet Air Mail.
Some parcels may be sent by a courier service instead of Royal Mail. These are usually large and/or heavy items.
For these parcels we may need a mobile telephone number so the courier can text you regarding delivery.
3. Payment
Payment will be taken from your card at the time the order is placed. Goods are subject to availability and we will endeavour to check that they are available at the time of order. In the event that we are unable to supply the goods we will inform you as soon as possible. A full refund will be given where you have already paid for the goods.
Payments are processed for Harmonicas Direct by SagePay (Opayo) a secure payment service provider in the UK. Customers’ card details, when ordering by phone are erased after the order is processed.
All prices include VAT (where applicable) at the current rate but exclude delivery charges. Countries outside the UK will have have VAT (tax) deducted from the goods, excepting books.

Special conditions for the return of Harmonicas
*If your harmonica is faulty when delivered you have 7 days to notify us, before returning it.
Harmonicas are guaranteed to be in tune and free from manufacturing defects at the time of purchase. If you have played the harmonica, it cannot be returned due to health and safety reasons, unless it is faulty, see above*.
Harmonicas are subject to wear and tear, the stresses of playing and will eventually lose their pitch or go out of tune. The reeds on a harmonica are a moving part and are therefore considered a consumable item. If the reeds wear out this is not necessarily a manufacturing defect.
The longevity of a harmonica and it’s playing response is often effected by a player’s style and playing technique. Some players manage to ‘blow out’ a harmonica within weeks, while some can enjoy years of trouble free playing. Therefore, it is impossible to put a minimum playing life on a harmonica, although Harmonicas Direct would consider the matter if it was agreed the harmonica had failed prematurely.
Harmonicas Direct reserve the right to obtain a second opinion from the supplier or manufacturer, regarding a dispute over a manufacturing defect.
6. Descriptions of Goods and Typographical Errors
The descriptions given are believed to be accurate to the best of our knowledge. All photographs and images are included for a guide, and may not represent the actual item.
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your payment card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a credit to your card account to the value of the incorrect price (including delivery charges).
